Jenna's Latin Medley Team

Here is a picture of Jenna's Latin Medley team from the Gem State Classic competition held last evening. Idaho Ballroom Academy did two show numbers and two medleys.

Isaac Intermission

Isaac took advantage of a brief break during an intermission at Jenna's Ballroom Dance competition. There were dance teams from Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming. Isaac got some pretty good cheers and has some good dance moves, and there wasn't even any music playing!

Uncle Todd had some good show presence too.

Winter 2008 at the Huntsman House

Here we are at our house and I must say that it has been a crazy and long winter. I will be glad when all the snow is melted, but I will miss the excitement of another big storm coming.

How cute are they!!

Trey - I love the purple backpack.

Can you name the kids in this Picture.

I don't have any current photos to post, so I looked through some old ones. I know who all the kids are in this picture, but I want to see who else can figure it out.

Isaac and Emrie

Emrie and Isaac little video clip. Isaac loves hugging Emrie, sometimes he squeezes a bit tight. I think she is going to have a pretty good bodyguard for her growing up years!

Beware of Falling Ice

One of the advantages of a having a metal roof is the snow and ice will melt and slide off more quickly. That is usually a good thing, especially on years when we have lots of snow, like this year. For the winter of 2008, we have received more snowfall than any year since 1987. We have also had alternating periods of extreme cold (-20) and heavy snow fall. This has lead to up nearly 3 feet of snow on the roof and a large layer of ice on the bottom. Yesterday afternoon the snow and ice literally avalanched off, including several chunks of ice that weighed 50 to 70 pounds. It is a good thing it happened on Sunday and not on a week day when an unsuspecting mailman was on our front step. Here are a couple of pictures, and this wasn't even the biggest piece of ice!

Rexburg Temple Celebration and Dedication

The last two days have been wonderful, full of the Spirit and historic for Rexburg. Last evening we enjoyed the Temple Celebration and Christopher was part of the cast of 2,000 young people who participated. He was an official wheat carrier and was part of the grand finale. The event lasted 90 minutes and featured l large orchestra, dancers, choirs, historical presentations, and remarks by Elders Russell M. Nelson and David A. Bednar. Today was the temple dedication by President Thomas S. Monson and he remarked was his first official act as President of the Church. Jenna sang in the cornerstone choir and they presented two songs as President Monson and others participated in the cornerstone event. She was just a few feet from our newest prophet. She was able to be in the temple for the dedication. Matthew was also fortunate enough to be in the temple for this wonderful event. Steve, Cindy, and Christopher watched from our Stake Center. We all had to wait for about 30 minutes as President Monson's plane had to be rerouted to Pocatello because of the fog. It was a great day and Cindy and Steve our looking forward to our first 'official' visit to the temple tomorrow.
